Doctrinal Statement
1. We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired of God as inerrant in the original writings, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:21)
2. We believe in one God eternally existing in Three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:19; 1 John 5:7)
3. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and was born of the Virgin Mary, and is the true God and true man. (John 5:23; Matt. 1:23)
4. We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in thought, word and deed. (Gen.3:1-6; 3:24; Rom. 3:22-23; 5:12)
5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. (John 3:16; Eph. 2:8-9; Heb. 2:14; 1 John 4:10)
6. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there as Mediator for us, and our High Priest, and Advocate. (Matt. 28:6,7; Acts 1:9-11; Heb. 2:17)
7. We believe the Pre Millennial, imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the “Blessed Hope” of the Church. (Titus 2:13; John 14:3; Acts 1:1; 1 Thes. 4:14)
8. We believe in the personality of Satan who deceived the whole world and in whose lap the world lies. He is the god of this age. (Rev. 12:9,10; Matt. 4:2-11; John 8:44; 1 John 5:19)
9. We believe in the universality and exceeding sinfulness of sin, the depravity and lost condition of all men by nature. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin and righteousness, regenerates, indwells, enlightens and guides. (Rom. 3:10-23; 6:23; John 16:8; 1 Cor. 3:16) 10. We believe that all who receive Christ as Savior and confess Him before men are saved by the shedding of His blood. They are God’s children, joint heirs with Christ and shall never perish. (John 3:16; 5:24; 1:12; Rom. 10:9)
11. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust; the everlasting, blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost. We believe that every born-again person is a member of the Body of Christ, that He will come for His living Saints and will raise those who have fallen asleep in death. At the end of the Great Tribulation, He will come with His saints to destroy the Anti-Christ and send Satan into the abyss, then He will execute judgment upon the ungodly nations and establish His Millennial Kingdom on earth. (1 Thes. 4:13-18; Rev. 19: 19-20)
We also affirm that Scripture teaches God will honor His covenant with Abraham and David by establishing Israel as a nation before Him forever, with Christ sitting on David’s throne in Jerusalem. (Jeremiah 3:18; 30:3; 31:35-36; Zech. 8:3; Luke 1:32)
12. We believe in Heaven and Hell; that Heaven is a place of pure delight and eternal joy for all those who have been washed in the Blood of the Lamb; that Hell is a place of eternal punishment for all the unsaved. (Rev. 22; John 14:1-6; Matt. 25:46; Rev. 20)
13. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex. We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery or appearance. (Gen. 2:24; 19:5,13; 26:8-9; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom. 1:16-29; 1 Cor. 5:1; 6:9; 1 Thes. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4)
